Parks

Las Baulas National Marin Park is located near Tamarindo. Las Baulas meaning leatherback turtles in Spanish, are the world’s largest sea turtles and are sadly at risk of extinction. The national park aims to protect them and increase their population by preserving the 445 hectares of mangrove swamps and coastline, which includes four beaches.
